Statement Of Faith PDF Print E-mail
Faith Baptist Church of Reidville is an independent Baptist church that believes in the one true God of Heaven Who eternally exists in the three Persons of the Trinity – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God has revealed His truth to the human race by giving us His inerrant and eternal Word, the Holy Bible. We believe that this Bible reveals to us all the truth that we need in order to know God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible is the final authority for our faith and practice.

We believe that man’s sin has separated him from God and that man is in desperate need of a Savior. We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior. He came to earth from heaven, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried, and rose again from the dead on the third day.

We believe that salvation from sin is wholly of grace by faith in Jesus Christ. All who will repent of their sin and put their trust in Jesus Christ to save them will be forgiven of their sin and will receive eternal life in heaven with Him.  We believe that those who do not receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior will remain under the wrath of God and will be eternally punished in the lake of fire (hell).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has commanded us, as His followers, to be His witnesses and to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth one day, and that those who belong to Him will reign and will live with Him forevermore.

The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:9-11, 13

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:4-7

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
Acts 16:31
